Discipleship - Wyman Dobbs

After graduating from Sallisaw High School, Wyman met and married his wife, Michelle, while at Oklahoma State University. He then completed his Doctorate at NSU College of Optometry and was in private practice for ten years in Sallisaw. During this time Wyman attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and served several years as Ministerial Intern at Immanuel Baptist. Then in 1998, Wyman, Michelle, and their five children answered a call from the Lord to be Church Planters with the International Mission Board among the Fulbe Fouta of Guinea, West Africa. Since his return from the field in 2006, Wyman has been serving as bi-vocational Minister of Discipleship at Immanuel and practicing optometry at Dobbs Eye Clinic.
The focus at IBC is Loving God, Loving People, and Loving Life. Wyman deeply believes God wants each person to continually grow closer to Him. Evidence of growth is shown by how much we love God and others. Increasing love brings greater joy, peace, and abundant life as we live each moment with God. The Bible teaches abundant life is available to all who are willing to learn from Jesus. Wyman invites you to join the Immanuel family as we strive together to grow as followers of Jesus our King.

Keith has served in Student Ministry for over 15 years and joined the staff at Immanuel in March, 2007. Keith received an Associates Degree in Accounting from Carl Albert State College and then went on to continue his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Keith and his wife Michelle, have been married for 12 years and have three amazing children, Trevor (8), Tanner (5) and Trinity (7 months). Children & Preschool - Amber Werschem

Amber Werschem has attended Immanuel Baptist for about five years with her husband of 7 years and two wonderful boys. She's been blessed to work with children's ministry and still enjoys every moment of it. Amber believes that children are one of the most important parts of the church. A child’s spiritual foundation is being built every day and by age twelve that foundation is pretty much laid, so it is crucial to train up our children for Jesus NOW, so they will be godly leaders for tomorrow!
