We want it to be easy for you to come to church.  We want you to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you into the Immanuel Family.  We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns.  Here's a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit Immanuel.  If you don't see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages, please contact us in the church office by calling 918-775-4926  Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to the Immanuel Family!

Where are you located?
Our address is 1101 N. Wheeler Ave., Sallisaw, Ok, 74955.  We are located approximately 1/2 mile north of Hwy. 64 on 59 Hwy/Wheeler Ave.

Where do I park?
We have reserved parking spaces for first-time guests.  These spaces are convienently located in the 2nd row of spaces direectly across from the drive through.  If you need assistance, feel free to ask any of the greeters.

Where do I go?
Greeters are located at the front entrance to the main building and are available to direct you to a classroom for Bible Study, to the Sanctuary for worship, or to any specific ministry meeting area.

What should I wear?
Dress comfortably.  We're more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear.  While a few people might choose to wear their "Sunday best", most people wear casual clothing.  We only ask that you be modest and appropriate in what you choose to wear to worship.

What do I need to bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in both worship and Bible Study.  If you have a Bible, bring it with you.  If you don't have a Bible, copies of the Bible are located in the Sanctuary and in Bible Study classrooms for your use.

When do I need to arrive?
Sunday morning services begin promptly at 10:45 a.m.  Bible Study classes meet at 9:30.  Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Sanctuary/Bible Study class.

Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes.  There is reserved handicap parking on the south side of the parking lot closest to the building. Should you need a wheelchair to use or need assistance, please call the church office ahead of time and we'll be waiting on you to help you get to where you're going.

Where do my children go?
Just inside the main entrance are greeters stationed throughout the morning to register your child and direct them to their classroom.  We offer preschool childcare from bed babies through 5 years,  Children (grades 1-5) and Youth (grades 6-college) meet in the fellowship hall.

What is your style of worship service?
We would consider our service a nice contemporary blend and feature the singing of hymns and praise choruses accompanied by the praise band and the Praise Team.  Our desire is for our worship service to be both Biblically sound and culturally releveant.   We do feature the ues of occasional drama or video to enhance the worship experience in most of our services.

How are visitors recognized?
The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot.  We ask visitors to fill out a Connection Card located inside of the weekly worship guide and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit.  We'll never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way.  We want you to have a wonderful experience with the Immanuel Family and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.  We have a free gift for you waiting at the Welcome Center located at the front entrance to the Sanctuary for your first visit with us!  All we ask is that you fill out the Connection Card and either drop it in the offering plate or simply bring it with you to receive you gift.

We hope you'll join us soon!
